What Is a Perfect Tablet PC ? [Part 1]
I don't like most of the tablets on the market present days. It looks like nobody really think when design them and companies are only copying primitive design of the first generation of iPads like monkeys. They all produce 'copy-past' instead of creating products. Acer Iconia, Samsung Galaxy, Creative Ziio and Toshiba Thrive don't worth their money because they are too big, too heavy and too crappy.
What I think about this market is that tablets give us billions of opportunities. All you need is to stop thinking of tablet market as of laptop market. This market is different. Why do you copy the Apple's product, but not a copy the idea of the product?
The following is what I see what I think of how the ideal tablet must look like:
Size
It must be no less than 7'' and never more than 8''. If it is less then 7'' then it goes to mini tab segment. Tablet PC is neither a penis nor a sport car! In other words, 'the larger the better' is not a rule for tab. Does anyone still want to have a 15'' tablet? 7'' is size offered us by nature. You can hold it in a palm with comfort, put it in your pocket and it is still big enough to let you watch movies or surf the web without annoying your eyes.
Screen resolution and DPI
Again it is not the feature that is always better when it is bigger. 800x480 for 7'' screen is not a crime. 1024x700 is better while 1300x1000 is too much. Unless tablet is not equipped with the micro-size nuclear power battery the big screen with strong resolution will consume the battery juice very quickly.
